Frequently Asked Questions
How does RightLend.co.uk work?
RightLend.co.uk is a credit broker, not a lender. We help customers search for borrowing options by introducing them to lenders and credit brokers from our panel. We do not provide loans ourselves, and we do not decide whether your application is approved. If a provider may be able to help, you will be taken through to them to review the loan terms directly.
How much can I apply to borrow?
You can request between £100 and £5,000. The amount available to you will depend on the lender, your circumstances, affordability checks, and the lender’s own approval criteria.
What types of loans could I be matched with?
The providers we work with may offer different forms of credit, including short-term loans and instalment loans. A short-term loan is usually designed for smaller borrowing needs over a shorter repayment period. An instalment loan allows repayments to be spread across several months. The exact product, cost, and repayment schedule will be shown by the lender before you decide whether to proceed.
How long does the application take?
The initial RightLend.co.uk form only takes a few minutes to complete. Once submitted, we aim to search our panel quickly to see whether a lender or credit broker may be able to help. If you are matched, you may be redirected to the provider’s website to review the offer and complete any remaining steps.
How would I receive the money if approved?
If a lender approves your application and you accept their loan agreement, the funds are usually sent by bank transfer to the account you provide. The lender will confirm how and when the payment will be made.
How quickly could funds be paid out?
Payout times vary by lender. In some cases, funds may be paid on the same day, but this is not guaranteed. Timing can depend on the lender’s checks, the time your application is approved, and your bank’s processing times. The lender should confirm the expected payout timeframe before you accept the loan.
What are the basic eligibility requirements?
Each lender sets its own criteria, but you will usually need to be at least 18 years old, live in the UK, have a UK bank account, and receive a regular income. Meeting these basic requirements does not guarantee approval, as lenders will still carry out their own checks.
Why do you need my personal details?
We need your information so we can process your request and share your application with relevant lenders or credit brokers from our panel. This helps them assess whether they may be able to offer you credit. You can find more detail on how your data is used in our Privacy Policy.
Does RightLend.co.uk run a credit check?
RightLend.co.uk does not make lending decisions and does not provide loans. However, lenders or credit brokers we introduce you to may carry out credit checks or affordability checks as part of their assessment. Any checks will depend on the provider you are matched with.
What is the representative APR?
The representative APR is 79.5% variable. The APR you are offered may be different and will depend on the lender, the loan amount, the repayment term, and your individual circumstances.
What should I do if I struggle to repay?
If you are having difficulty repaying a loan, contact your lender as soon as possible. They may be able to discuss repayment options with you. If you are worried about debt or managing your money, you can get free and impartial guidance from MoneyHelper at moneyhelper.org.uk.
